to keep up the good the care. I recently lost my own cockatiel on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 in the Foothills of Yuma, Arizona. She was on my shoulder and got frightened by a flock of pigeons. She flew

What appears to be a common grey female cockatiel with no leg band flew into our yard on Saturday, October 03, 2009. She was not finger tame, but I was able to get close enough to grasp her for the rescue,
getting bitten pretty good in the process. I have placed multiple "found" ads both in Craigslist and sites like this in an effort to locate her owner. She didn't know any special whistles and wasn't finger tamed at first,

A gray Cockatiel found us by flying to my husband and landing on his shoulder. He or she is very affectionate and finger trained, although he prefers to be on the shoulder. He appears to be an adult with
the common gray coloring, yellow cheeks, and the orange dot on each side. He is not a pied or cinnamon. We are near Los Angeles International Airport and he appeared around 7:00 in the evening. No leg band.

I rescued a lilac-crowned Amazon parrot trapped in our trampoline net, since I rescued it it has stayed with us and has been visiting me everyday for the past 10 days, staying in my garden, It sleeps out at night
eating in the mornings and at lunch and evenings. I can't take it in as no facilities to care for it, I also have young children who are afriad of it. It is very sweet natured and looks in beautiful condition. the

My house is on an island that is literally on the border of upstate New York, Ontario, and Quebec. The cockatiel is being taken care of the best I can, but I am just learning from the internet about the bird. He
likes to perch on my head, shoulder, and hand, so he is very friendly. He is a very strong and fast flyer! We have predatory birds in this area, so he is very fortunate. He was flying around my house windows on

We found a green and yellow parakeet in our yard in Fairfield, CT on Tuesday morning 8/12/08. The parakeet appears to be young. It has lines on it's head feathers. I believe it is a female, from what I have
read about parakeets. We are taking good care of her- and hoping to find her owner- if they are out there looking for her. I don't mind caring for her- I have two lovebirds and love birds. She does have a band
which reads AAA and some numbers. I have not been able to hold her yet to read the rest of the band. She is very scared when I go to touch her so I am giving here a few days to relax. Please contact Stefanie

Medium size parakeet, light yellow green wings, apple green back and yellow tail, small light gray/blueish markings (almost in the shape of a comma) on feathers on either side of its beak, spotted at 2nd floor of
commercial building near the Stamford train station at approximately 4:25PM. Chirping to be let in, unfortunately the windows here do not open and they overlook the Metro-North train tracks, so trapping is

sorry) does not seem too fond of my 2 yr old, but is very tolerant of and does not seem to be scared of my dogs. She came to me for food and is very loving, she wants her family back! I am doing my best to care

I'm not good at markings and I don't have the bird in front of me. He was Green and I believe the vet said he was a parrott. He flew on top of my jeep and then came right onto my outstretched finger. I was

The bird is not solid white or grey. It has the yellow crest, and facial/head coloring that is characteristic of the breed, the body is not all grey like the one I had as a kid. Not all white like some photos I've seen.

This bird seems to be domesticated. It is not afraid to come but it does tend to nip. Very hearty appetite, squawks but so far no words. Not sure if it can fly because I have not seen it fly. THe bird is different
shades of green with bright blue wing tips and underfeathers. It has a band of orange at his brow then a band of yellow and a band of turqoise. His eyes are encircled with yellow feathers.

On July 5, 2008, in the Beverly neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, a family found a lovebird in their backyard. They used to have parakeets when their kids were little, so they knew how to take care of this
bird, although they did not plan to keep it permanently. They tried to locate the owner but found no ads that were looking for it. They also ran ads, but got no answer. I learned about this bird from a mutual
acquaintance. I agreed to take this bird; otherwise, it would have wound up in a pet store. I've had birds for years, including lovebirds. I currently have two birds: this lovebird, and my Amazon parrot. I would
like to keep this bird, but it breaks my heart to think that somebody may be looking for it. The bird seems to be homesick -- very tame, nice, social bird; but always acts like it's lost. So I will need as positive an
identification as I can get before I would consider returning it to someone who claims to be the owner. Could be a throwaway bird too, or lost by someone who doesn't care. Unless I find out that this bird was

Hi,My neighbor found a Congo African Grey parrot on 5/28 on my neighbor's porch. We ended up sending it home with a family who also lost a "grey". They called today and don't believe it is their lost
bird. They are willing to give it back to me. I would really like to get the bird reunited with its real owner and am pretty sure I can get these people to give the bird back to rightful owner. The bird was very sweet
