I found a cockatiel in the Templestowe, area.Mostly grey, white strip on wings, yellow face, bright orange cheeks, yellow crest that almost has a grey tinge on the ends, chest is grey with a yellow-e tinge, grey beak.
Does not like to be woken UP!Very friendly, nips everytime I go near it, but doesn't bite.Doesn't seem to have any tricks i.e. whistle tunes talk etc, just sounds like a normal bird.I would suggest he is a young bird,
judging by his condition.If you have placed an ad on here I guarantee it is not your bird, as i have gone through them with a fine tooth comb from today's date till last year. But of course I am happy to email you

to like older women more, but is friendly to everyone. I have kept him safe, fed, entertained and inside overnight and called The Bird Society and Parrot Society of Australia to report him.He wears a ring around

When my grandmother died several years ago, I knew I would miss going to her house where my grandfather and I had raised hundreds of parakeets when he was alive. One day I saw a large group of
parrots, in the hundreds, I would estimate, fly near my house. This was in 2010. I decided to put wild feed and fruit and a bird water dish in the my back yard where I have a peach tree that blooms in hopes of
attracting some of them. I was delighted when some of them began sleeping in my peach tree. They seem to alternate between a tree on Lakeshore Drive and a tree on Laurel Ave. In Lakeside, Calfiornia. I was
thinking about keeping it my secret about trying to attract them, selfishly, on purpose so that I could be delighted by their chatter as they fly in to sleep and then fly out in the morning. But now I notice that a
birdwatcher has posted a sighting of one and the Audobon Society is now asking for someone to post something. People are also on a chat room thinking up ways to "get rid" of them as a nuisance in another
part of town where they fly. I would rather see them matched up with their owners than have harm come to them. They usually wake up and fly away about 9:30 am unless it is the day before or of an earthquake
when they wake up early around 7:30 or so. They don't make a lot of noise when they fly in to sleep. It is cute the way the "post" a lookout until they are all settled. I really do love them, they are beautiful birds. It
makes me feel bad that they might, individually, be missing their own sweet homes. There are so many of them. None has been enticed into the nice dove cage I made up with a nest but they sure have attracted a lot
of little song birds to my peach tree. And more hummingbirds than ever. I have no individual pictures as my zoom lense is not that strong. Just this one video that I snuck. They startle easily and I don't want them
to be afraid of me. I'm not sure how you would go about identifying individual birds, but I could estimate them in the hundreds. I have seen green and white mainly. If you have a main telephone number, I could

A green parrot flew into my porch while I was outside. I walked up to it and he/she walked right onto my fingers and up to my shoulder. It was extremely hungry and very friendly. We still have the bird.. We have

I was visiting the Animal Care League in Oak Park this morning. They had a cockatiel that was given to them by the River Forest police on Monday, Aug. 22. They don't search for the owners. They will be putting

Adult bird, grayish feathers around beak, down front of neck, and belly. Grass/Avocado green back of head, neck, and wing feathers, with lighter pea green layer of feathers underneath. Some of the tail feathers are
tipped white, and the quills are blue. ID band on its left leg.Very people-friendly - will squawk loudly when alone, and actively seeks out people when cage is left open. Likes to sit on shoulders and sleep. Confusing
chain of events, how this bird came to my possession. Family friend Marcus gave the bird to my live-in sister. Brother of Marcus was hiking out of town, and the parrot found him. He brought the bird home to
Marcus. Apparently, Marcus had the bird for some months; he wanted to keep the bird for himself. He gave the bird to my sister this week. The bird may have developed a biting habit from Marcus' friends teasing it.
